Our kids department has been named Generations and each class assigned a color.

Why Generations?

If you’ve been around this church for any length of time you know that we believe God is a God of generations.  Throughout scripture it is clear that God’s promises and intentions for His people are not limited to age and time.  We believe that what God is doing here is significant not only now, but for generations yet to come.

Why arrows?

The concept of naming the classes as arrows is based on Psalm 127 “… Children are a gift from the Lord, they are a reward from Him…like arrows in a warrior’s hands…how joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them.”   We believe we are equipping children to be launched and used mightily for the kingdom.  We believe this is not limited to moms and dads, but includes the church family as well. In archery, an arrow maker is called a Fletcher.   As parents and teachers, we have an incredible opportunity to be a part of the crafting and shaping of these children…these arrows!  How cool is that!?  We are equipped to be Fletchers of the next generations!

Why the different colors?

In archery, each archer has his own color scheme which identifies his particular arrow.  The crest is the decoration on the arrow.  Each class has their own crest and color which is how they are identified.
